Akshay to Critics: Let our movies breathe…

As the curtain will soon rise on the new action thriller Kambakkht Ishq, AK-47 himself has a personal message for his critics. Either he knows this movie will get slashed by those that wield the pen, or he doesn’t want to deny audiences a fair chance to decide for themselves (maybe both), but Akshay Kumar is talking directly to us (critics, fans, and haters alike).
Speaking through his fan club blog on itimes.com, the amazing Akshay writes:
“…If a review is put up on a website or carried in a newspaper or shown on television on a Thursday / many times on the Friday that the movie opens, and if the movie is panned… then it affects the box office really badly. I witnessed a man from Kolkata telling his family to cancel 11 tickets of a recent movie that was panned by a critic on a Thursday. The man was saying, “We have booked tickets in advance. But this critic has panned it. Let us cancel the 11 tickets and go for an Italian meal instead. Why torture ourselves watching a movie that has got a one star rating!” There could be a domino effect once many such tickets are cancelled…”
He also enlightens us about the dangers of DVD piracy and why this really grinds his gears. So when the hit machine talks, we have to listen! Check out his entire plea here and hopefully we’ll see for ourselves and not let the critics tell us beforehand how bad this movie really is!

His movies recently sucks, so there should be no financial support from the Indian audience. Bollywood needs to learn to stop making crap movies.
