CAST AWAY: Ash and Abhi get Crooked!

Since Saif and Kareena are squared away for Agent Vinod, another Bollywood couple is gearing up for an espionage action movie of their own. Abhishek and Aishwarya (who are off celebrating their second wedding anniversary at the moment) are tentatively scheduled for Crooked– a thriller supposedly in the same area as the Bourne films (they can only wish), and will be filmed in India, Greece, Thailand, and Turkey. Irrfan Khan, Boman Irani, and Jimmy Shergil make up the cast as well.

Bachna Ae Haseeno director Siddharth Anand is teaming up again with pal Ranbir Kapoor for a yet untitled romantic comedy. Priyanka Chopra, who is highly sought after these days, is in talks to be Ranbir’s leading lady in the film.

Jiah Khan will not want for work now- the 21 year old has just signed a three-film deal with producer Madhu Mantena; one of those is a possible sequel to Ghajini (let’s see how many movies they steal from there). However, Jiah is still stinging from losing her role in UTV’s Yahoo, opposite Shahid Kapoor. She explained, “I’m too small, too new and too much of an outsider to comment on why UTV did what they did. I did work for almost two years on ‘Yahoo’. I performed a very difficult dance number with Shahid…Like I said it’s not mine to question why.”

Additionally, Jiah will be seen in Sajid Khan’s House Full, playing one of three beauties vying for the attentions of Akshay Kumar. The other contenders will be Lara Dutta and Deepika Padukone.
