Little GuruSkool produces a line of DVDs, Board Books and Audio CDs to help parents around the world introduce their children to the Indian culture in a fun and interactive way.
Parents will find these products useful as interactive tools to answer questions that will surely arise in the young, inquisitive minds as they are exposed to different elements of the Indian culture – the strings of a sitar, Rajasthani kathputli shows, colorful spinning chakris, beats of a dholak on Baisakhi, live footage of tigers and dancing peacocks.
The DVDs feature playful Indian children, Indian scenes, lovable puppets and catchy music. These elements are used to create an age-appropriate entertaining experience for children as they learn about topics such as Animals, Colors and Indian Musical Instruments. Similar themes are explored in the colorfully illustrated Board Books. The Audio CD is a collection of original songs featured in the DVDs and is a great medium of on-the-go entertainment.
Little GuruSkool DVDs and Board Books feature both English and Hindi to familiarize children with basic vocabulary and the sounds of both languages during the early developmental years. The aim is to provide an opportunity for parents to share a delightful experience with the little guru in their lives.
Founder and President Pooja Pittie, who lives in Chicago with her son, created Little GuruSkool because she wanted to introduce her son to Indian culture at an early age. After an unsuccessful search for suitable products, she decided to create them herself. Since launch, Pooja has been thrilled by the positive reaction to her products, “It has been rewarding to answer my son’s questions about Kathakali dancers, wedding Shehnais and colorful Rangolis as he watches Little GuruSkool DVDs. I hope that other parents and children around the world can enjoy exploring this exciting culture together.”
