Barbie Battle: Ash out, Katrina in?

Hmm, now reports tell me that Katrina Kaif is to be India’s first celebrity Barbie doll and not a much more deserving, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan…?
I am confused about this switcheroo, but Katrina is not:
“As far as I know, Aishwarya was never under consideration. It was me. So I don’t know where these stories came from.” Uh…wishful thinkers?
My only guess for Ash dropping out is that she has a busy work/family schedule and does not want to add being a kid’s toy to her extensive load (think of all the endorsement duties and appearances involved); whereas, KK doesn’t have quite as much going on and is more able to promote herself as a Barbie. Though, I don’t see her “collectible” value being as high as the Ash Barbie.
At Lakme Fashion Week, Katrina even walked the ramp during a special tribute for Barbie’s 50th Anniversary (I believe Ash dropped out of that one too). And even though this only reinforces her bubbly girl image, KK is only thinking of the kids.
“It’s an honor because I’m the first Indian to be the face of Barbie. I think in many ways it’s an endorsement of how kids connect with me. You can’t be the face of an international doll unless kids like you. The thought that kids like me enough to make me a part of their doll collection is very gratifying….So much for my attempts to move to a more mature level as an actor!….But I’m very happy being the clean healthy Barbie.”
Ok then, Barbie’s pink travel case closed!

Haha! She’s a joke! She’s probably the worst choice for an Indian Barbie doll.
whoa! a comment by a Judge, this blog is movin’ up!
and yeah, I think Katrina’s barbie will be nondescript, maybe something like “famous despite no talent” Barbie.
WOW! 0_0 arrogant much are we K.K.? Just because children like you does not mean you should be a “international figure” lol for the love of God the things celebrities say to make themselves look good! Ousting Ash is not going to get K.K. very far, besides that doll could easily pass for Ash I think!
We should all remember that: “Pride comes before the fall”!
Good luck to the first indian barbie is katrina
THE LOOK ON ASH FACE SAYS IT ALL I WAS FIRST CHOICE BUT DID NOT HAVE TIME THE DOLL LOOKS LIKE KATRINA AND SHE IS TRILLION TIME BETTER THAN GIGLY ASH
